Whinstone View Wedding Fayre

Well Whinstone Views first wedding fayre has been and gone and hopefully they can view it as a success, there was certainly a bustle and excitement about the place while we were there.

The fayre was held in Whinstone Views new marquee which looks lovely set amongst their gorgeous grounds and inside was filled with stalls showcasing their goodies.

Destiny Bridal of Stokesley were showcasing some of their Bridal designs in the fayre’s catwalk, which I think was on every half hour so if you didn’t catch the first one you weren’t going to miss out. Singer and guitarist Val Boyers provided beautiful background music for the shows, I think Val would make a gorgeous addition to any wedding either playing at your ceremony or even playing in the background at your wedding breakfast.

Amongst the stalls there were a few familiar faces from previous wedding fayres such as Truly Beautiful of Guisborough, Sugarcraft of Middlesbrough, Sheer Elegance Chair Covers and Neesams Photography, but there were also a handful of new stalls such as The Fine and Funky Events Company, illustrator and designer Nicholas James Langley and Elegant Chair Covers.

The Fine and Funky Events Company caught my eye straightaway with a tablescape full of vintage crockery, peonies, vintage books and other vintage finds, along with gorgeous stationary from Purple Peacock. Fine and Funky are an events company that can be hired to help you plan or style any part of your wedding from full day coordination to helping you find a supplier that’s just right for you. They also offer a hiring service where you can hire their venue accessories, props and giant garden games. Take a look at their website, there isn’t much that Fine and Funky Events don’t offer!

Nicholas James Langley also caught my eye, as he offered bespoke artwork for your wedding day which Nicholas said could either be printed as a normal piece of art such as on a canvas or in a frame, or you could have your designs printed on to plates or bowls, which would make a brilliant talking point at your wedding!

One part of the day that I was particularly looking forward to was having a sneaky peak around Whinstone Views gorgeous lodges, which I’ve been dying to stay in for ages! And I tell you something, they did not disappoint! All lodges come with their own hot tub on the balcony of the lodge overlooking the grounds and all have a different colour theme. There are 3 double room lodges; Bazare, Zoffony and Roma (Zoffony been my favourite!) and 2 self catering lodges that can cater for up to four people; Kuki and Fleurie. The lodges are ideal for anyone wanting to stay over (especially the Bridal party) and they would definitely make a great Bridal suite for you to enjoy with your new husband/wife.

I will definitely be keeping Whinstone View in mind for whenever the boyfriend decides to pop the question, if he ever does!! And I definitely recommend Whinstone View to any Bride-to-be out there who is trying to decide on a venue for their upcoming wedding.

Did you make Whinstone Views first wedding fayre this weekend? If so, what did you think of it? Is it somewhere you’d like to get married? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
