A lot of people will be sick of hearing about the Royal Wedding by now and will be counting the days until it’s all over with, but others are looking forward to celebrating the festivities. Me and my friends are having a Royal tea party on the 29th and we’ve been looking forward to it for quite some time. We are planning on getting dressed up for the occasion (the best Charity shop gowns/old Bridesmaid dresses!), drinking Bucks Fizz, eating sandwiches and delicious homemade cakes, and basically, just having a good old knee’s up!
You won’t struggle to find places that stock merchandise to help theme your party for the Royal Wedding, it’s everywhere you look from your local supermarket to the high street to the internet! If you are after some Union Jacket bunting, paper plates and cups just to head to your local supermarket, all the big names have a range of essentials in that won’t break the bank.
Cath Kidston have jumped on the Royal Wedding bandwagon and have released a range of memorabilia, including this cute tea towel which is available on their site for £10. Jan Constantine has also designed a new regal collection in celebration of Kate and Wills big day and it includes this gorgeous embellished cushion, which is a slightly pricier £93!
If you want your home to not only look like a Royal celebration but also to smell like one! Check out Yankee Candle’s new scent, ‘A Royal Wedding’, which you can buy on their online shop.
But it’s not just home ware that has gone Royal Wedding crazy, so has the fashion world. Lulu Guinness has released a ‘Best of British’ collection which includes this London Black Cab clutch along with a Union Jack Lips clutch and a red phone box holder. French Sole also have a wedding collection which includes these crown embellished pumps, fit for any Princess in the making!!
Accessorize have also gone a bit crazy for the Royal Wedding and have everything from cake accessories to stationary to fashion accessories and even a boom box!
Not on the High Street offers a gorgeous range of memorabilia including signs, home ware and party products but for the slightly quirkier, why not try out the Kate and William tea bags! But no Royal Wedding party (no matter how tasteful you plan on doing it!) would be complete without having the faces of the couple and the Royal family in your own home and thanks to the guys at Party Packs, now you can! These pack of masks include; Kate and Wills, the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince Harry, Prince Phillip and Camilla Parker Bowles!
I’m really looking forward to our Royal tea party and will try and get some photos of our celebrations to share with you all on here. How are you planning on celebrating, if at all? Have you gone for tasteful decorations or the tackier the better? I can’t wait to find out how others have celebrated the occasion!
