Dress Love = Matthew Williamson

Well it seems to be that designers and shops are bringing out their own Bridal collections left, right and centre at the moment, with Matthew Williamson been today’s dress love. Following on from a successful capsule collection with Net-A-Porter, the designer is finally launching his own Bridal collection in May.

The collection is a dream for the modern day bride, whilst keeping the romanticism and elegance that some modern day designs lack. All the dresses have been inspired by Matthew’s iconic styles from his ready to wear dresses over the last decade.

Matthew describes that all “the pieces are characterised by feminine, diaphanous silhouettes and have great attention to detail through the use of delicate pattern, hand beading and embroidery” and looking through the look book you can definitely see where he is coming from!

The collection consists of a gorgeous Ostrich feather tulle dress in either a cocktail or maxi style, a long waterfall ruffle gown, a glamorous kaftan embellished with Swarovski crystals and an asymmetric chiffon, Grecian inspired gown and that’s just a few of the beautiful dresses that are on offer.

They have also released a Bridal accessories range which includes fur shrugs and embellished head pieces and bracelets, to compliment your chosen gown.

My personal favourites have to be the long feather tulle gown and the crystal pleated asymmetric gown (the two above)! Which one is your favourite??

Oh just quickly, my business cards came at the weekend! I love them! Can’t wait to start dishing them out to unsuspecting people and companies! 🙂
